Everything happens under the supervision of Watcher, who is clearly the only intelligent being in the whole village. Its his job to look for upcoming storms and keep the wandering villagers from going too far. He also possesses the mystical knowledge of the magic crystal, a powerful artifact, that can be used to protect the castle from any kind of attack.
